well i was just informed that the us release date is sept. 13th
Japanese Release Date:  September 14, 2005
The Japanese release date has been set for release in September. There will be three different versions
available. The Standard Edition, the First Time Limited Edition, and the Ultimate Edition.
North America Release
Date:  September-ish 2005
The United States/North America release date was set as September 13, 2005 at E3 '05. But quite recently
Square-Enix pulled the countdown counter off the US site, leading me to believe that it'll be release a few weeks later. Nomura
also stated that if it wasn't released at the same time, the US version would be released no more than a month afterward.
Europe
Release Date:  2005/2006
I believe Square-Enix stated that Europe would most likely get it around the Fourth Quarter of '05
